Here is my 3d self project, modeling for Fenrir, Cloud Strife’s huge motorcycle from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. Since it’s not final yet, I will update this as soon as i can.. Let’s show Agate is working seriously in everything!
As an additional, I also attach the animation of this model:
We made it to IGS 2008! We’re pleased to say that our XNA game, Ponporon!, was met with positive responses and critics. These receptions had a very important meaning to us, as now we’re struggling even harder to meet everyone’s expectations.
Here are some snapshots of our stand @ IGS:
We thank you all for your receptions, and we certainly hope to deliver the final product soon. Please give us all your support, for the future of Indonesia’s Game Development!
Agate will run a booth in Indonesia Game Show 2008 (Thanks for IGDA for the share, http://igdaina.blogspot.com), Jakarta Convention Center from 12 till 16 November 2008. We will present you our two main games there: PonPoron! and Twilight:Altercation.
For a warm-up, here’s a teaser for you, taken from our game: Twilight: Altercation… =)
For you who want to see this game (not only the screenshot) and want to know about this game, you can visit us in our booth and fulfill your wonder about how we made these games.
this is floating island, where tyrant in ponporon! world lives.. using my lack of skill, it takes almost 1 week to create this low ‘wanna be’ poly model -.-”, you may see it in engklek mini game (if i’m not mistaken) and in right top corner in worldmap ^^
Here are some gameplay screenshot of our Ponporon! project. You can pretty much see that we’re not restraining ourselves on the use of colors
This is the title screen. Players can move through the spherical world and interact with objects. Some objects will give you interesting, though not entirely important, dialogue. Or monologue.
This one is the main hub, or some would say “World Map”, of the single player game. Players advance from point to point by completing minigames.
And this is a minigame where you run from those little creatures in the back while avoiding the unseen obstacle (there’s a small indicator though). The graphics were done in cel-shaded 3D.
And this minigame requires you to press the right button at the right time. The visuals are completely hand-drawn.
As you can see, we’re mixing both 2D and 3D graphics. In overall it helps to further increase the quirky feeling of the game.
Call it the Hairy Poron character, who has mucus as its accent. In this animation set, I tried to expose the mucus to be an eccentric move in the dance.
Here, the last animation, I made it with [my own] experience when i was in high school… I was trying littering to the air, then accidentally it was flown straight enough, so by reflect, it came back to where it had come..
Dunno, but I just think it kinda cool to be able to share it for others… XD - I mean sharing my experience… Hope you’d like it despite the unsmooth frame of animation.
*DON’T TRY THIS INDOOR OR WHEN THERE’S SOMEBODY NEARBY
Hi all!! The boss (Clawford) asked me to write in the blog again, so here’s it!
First of all, if you don’t know who i am, i’m Fandrey, who is in charge of making BGMs in this second project. At the first time i was asked to make a Funny, Cheerful BGM, i’m feeling rather down. Because it’s really not my specialty. The first song of this game took me a whole week to made, whew
In this project, i tried to match the image of the song with the Porons, (which is, cute, funny, and cheerful). So choose a high-tempo musics for this game and high-pithced instrument for the main melody. Make a “Theme Melodies” for this game too, so all of the game’s music have a little similar melodies one another.
This is the the sample of Ponporon’s BGMs, you could download it below. Sorry, i used RapidShare as host because i have trouble when i upload this file to the site…
it’s me again, presenting well.. uhh.. some works we made for the Ponporon Project.. ^^ Enjoy~
This is the world map made for the story mode..
well, did you see the cute trio from the previous post? They are what we call Ponporons (now you know where our game title came from ^^) Actually there are six types of Ponporons and these ponporons have to go through various obstacles to reach a castle up up in the sky (the one at the top right).. Ponporons, however, are curious little creature IMHO, and i guess that’s why they went through different, separate ways to reach the castle.. But i guess that’s a good news for the players, ‘cuz that means more levels.. yes..? =)
For this project too, I learned to draw frame-to-frame animation.. You can see the sample below.. It’s still far from perfection but I hope you enjoy it XD
Hello world everyone! I’m Deep_Sky, a programmer in the team. Ok, so much for my introduction, I’m here to announce our second game project:
Ponporon!
This game is a collection of minigames, much like Bishi Bashi on Playstation. But with a strong storymode, and multiplayer support (co-op or deathmatch).
This is a concept art of the Hop-Hop minigame.
And this is some of the characters (or should I say, species) in the game.
